Askarteluvuoren ATC vaihto: Sienet / Mushroom ATC

Olen muutaman kerran osallistunut Askarteluvuoren ATC-vaihtoon, jossa on joka kuukausi uusi aihe. Syyskuussa aiheena oli sienet ja siihen oli tottakai osallistuttava, koska sienet ovat parhaita! Haasteessa tehtiin yksi Skinny-kortti ja yksi ATC.

A few times I participated in the Finnish Askarteluvuori ATC challenge, where there's a theme every month. In September the theme was mushrooms and of course I had to participate, because mushrooms are the best! The challenge included one Skinny card and one ATC.

In the same inspirational flow I made two more mushroom ATC.

This one says "The atmosphere was wrong in every way."

Käytin taustassa vanhan kirjan sivuja. Yhdessä taustassa käytin gessoa ennen maalikerrosta ja toisessa en. Tuloksena on kaksi hieman erilaista taustaa, mutta pidän molemmista.

I used old book pages in the background. In one background I used a layer of gesso before painting over the text. I ended up with two slightly different backgrounds, but I like them both.

ArtGrupa ATC August 2019

ArtGrupan aiheena elokuussa oli syksy. Syksystä minulle tulee aina ensimmäisenä mieleen sienet. Sienet ovat tosin minulla ympäri vuoden mielessä, kun teen taidetta. :) Koska edellinen ATC-sarjani oli myös sieniaiheinen, lähestyin aihetta hieman eri näkökulmasta ja sienistä tuli tyttöjen tanssihameita.

The theme for August in ArtGrupa was autumn. I always think of mushrooms when I think of autumn. Although I think of mushrooms all year round when I do art. :) Because my last ATC series was also with mushrooms I had a bit of a different approach with these and the mushrooms ended up as dance skirts for these girls.

Jehkotar CraftChallenge DT #46: Elokuu / August

Elokuun haasteessa käytin taas bingoa ja sieltä riviä keltainen - pinkki - ruskea. Halusin, että nämä värit ovat taustassa. Ja sienet toimii aina! :) Syntyi ATC-sarja sienistä.

In the August JCC-challenge I used the bingo again. I picked the row yelllow - pink - brown. I wanted these colours to be in the background. And mushrooms work in art all year round! :) As a result, I created an ATC-series with mushrooms.

Mushroom ATC

Tein sieniATC-kortteja, koska sienet on hienoja. Niissä on jotain tosi kiehtovaa, eikö niin? :)

I made mushroom ATC, because muhrooms are great. There's something really magical about them, istn't that so? :)

Ostin Amsterdamista sienijulisteen ja hyödynsin julisteen sieniä samantien tekemällä art journal sivun niistä.

I bought a mushroom poster in Amsterdam and I used the mushroom pictures right away in this art journal page.

Tein myös samaan sarjaan sopivat sieniATC-kortit. 

I also made a series of ATC in this similar way.

Sivussa on koristeena muitakin tekemiäni muovailmassakoristeita. Tässä on porkkana ja pyöräytetty ja lytätty pallura. Taittelin myös pienen origamiveneen, joka löytyi itse työstäkin. 

On the sides there are also other decorations made out of modeling clay. There's a carrot and a squashed ball. I also folded a small origami boat, which I also have in the work itself.

Työssä ja esittelysivussa oli kalalampi. Tein samanlaisia kalalampia origamipaperista ja muovailumassakivistä pariin japanilaishenkiseen korttiin (jotka löytyy täältä).

In the work and on this presentation page is a fish pond. I made similar fish ponds out of origami paper and modeling clay stones in these Japanese style cards (which can be found here).

Massatyöni oli metsämaisemadiorama lasipurkissa (salsa-purkki toimi hyvin tähän, koska se oli matala ja leveä). Metsässä on kiva grillailla ja siksi tein myös pari makkaratikkua massasta ja metsän tikuista.

My clay work was a forest landscape diorama in a glass jar (a salsa jar works well for this, because it was low and wide). In the forest it's nice to grill sausages and that is why I also did a couple of sausage on sticks (modelling clay on real sticks).

Metsässä on toki myös sieniä! Tein tällä kertaa kahta erilaista lajia: kärpässieniä (kuten aiemminkin esimerkiksi täällä) ja herkkutatteja.

There are of course also mushrooms in the forest! I did two different species this time (the other ones I have also for example here).

Tässä kaksi kuvaa itse dioramasta. Pohjalla on leikattua karvalankaa (josta puolet liimaantui sormiini ja puolet lasiin). Lasin yläreunoilla on pumpulia pilviksi.

Here are two pictures of the diorama. At the bottom is cut hairy yarn (of which half got glued on my fingers and half on the glass). On the top of the jar I put wadding as clouds.

Nuotio on koottu pienistä tikuista ja tulilieskat tikkujen välissä ovat silkkipaperia. Kokosin nuotin ensin ja sitten vasta liimasin sen lasin pohjalle.

The campfire is assembled of many small natural sticks and the flames in between the sticks are tissue paper. I assembled the fire first and then glued it to the bottom of the glass.

Tässä esittelen tekemäni ison kollaasikortin. Postasin sen aiemmin myös blogiini (tänne), jossa esittelin työtä tarkemmin.

Here I present a big collage card I made. I posted about it also earlier on my blog (here), where I presented the work in more detail.

Yksityiskohtaisemmat kuvat laitoin polaroid-malliin, jonka alle kirjoitin tarkentavaa tekstiä.

The more detailed pictures I put in polaroids, where I wrote some text underneath.

Leikkasin Big Shot -leikkurilla vanhasta LP-levystä nuolet. Levy oli kuitenkin sen verran kova, etten aio tehdä tätä enää, koska stanssi ja kone eivät kauheesti tykänneet tästä materiaalista.

I cut old LP arrows with my Big Shot. However, the LP was too hard and I think my die and machine didn't really like it. I shouldn't do it again. :) 

Minisienet pullossa / Minimushrooms in a bottle

Tein minikokoisia sieniä tähän kaulakorun pyöreään pieneen pulloon. Sienet muovailin Fimo-massasta ja uunin jälkeen maalasin valkoiset pisteet niihin. 

I made minisized mushrooms for this necklace's round small bottle. The mushrooms I formed out of Fimo modelling clay and after the oven I painted white spots on them.

Sienistä tuli aika pieniä. Muuten ne eivät olisi mahtuneet pullon kaula-aukosta sisään. :)

The mushrooms are really small. Otherwise they wouldn't have fitted in the bottle. :)

Nämä pyöreät pallopullot on tosi kivoja! Olen keksinyt jo monta uutta ideaa, mitä voisin tehdä näiden kanssa. :) 

I really like these small round bottles! I have already more idea what to do with them. :)

Mushroom jewelry

Minulle iski nyt taas massailuinto. Aiemmin tekemäni kärpässieni oli tippunut kaulastani ja hävinnyt (aiempi työ tämän linkin takana). Se oli kuitenkin yksi lempikoruistani, joten päätin tehdä uuden. :) Tällä kertaa tein siihen sopivat korvakorutkin. 

I'm again excited about modelling clay now. The mushroom I made previously dropped and disappeared (previous work behing this link). It was one of my favorite pieces of jewelry, so I decided to make a new one. This time I also made matching earrings. :)

Massana käytin Fimo-massaa kuten aiemminkin. I used Fimo modelling clay like before.

Pitäähän sitä nyt sieniä olla, koska on syksy! Ja muutenkin. :)

Of course one has to have mushrooms, because it's autumn now! And otherwise also. :)
