OKTK DT #77: Puettu hahmo / Dressed figure

Elokuun OKTK-haasteessa tehdään Skinny-kortti, jossa on puettava hahmo, jolla on lisävaatteita esim paperinukketyyliin. Tässä minun puettu lintuni, jolla on kaksi lisähametta. Aikamoiset pukujuhlat!

In the OKTK challenge in August we make a Skinny card with a paperdoll with various outfits! Here is my dressed bird with two extra skirts. She is going to a wild costume party.

Kortin taustalla on oma gelli-printti ja kirjasta leikattu linnun pää. Linnun hameissa on luontoteema: metsä, meri ja värikkäät kalliot. Lisähameet voi laittaa linnun päälle kuten paperinukelle. Kortissa on oikeissa kohdissa pienet reiät.

The background is a Gelli print of mine and the bird's head is cut from a book. The bird’s dresses have a nature theme: forest, sea and colorful rocks. Extra skirts can be put on the bird like on a paper doll. There are small holes in the right places on the card.

Lisävaatteet laitoin kuvauksen jälkeen pieneen muovipussiin, jonka kiinnitin teipillä kortin taakse. Tällä tavalla varavaatteet eivät katoa!

After taking the pictures, I put the extra clothes in a small plastic bag, which I attached with tape to the back of the card. This way the spare clothes will not get lost!

OKTK DT #76: Skinny & inchie

Heinäkuun haasteessa tehdään taas tuumasvaihto eli tehdään yksi Skinny-kortti (pohjaksi) ja kuusi inchie-korttia. Paluupostissa saat Skinny-korttisi takaisin, mutta omien inchie-korttien sijaan siinä on muiden osallistujien kortit! 

 

In the July challenge we make a inchie card swap again. Each participant makes a Skinny card (as a base) and six inchie cards. In the return mail, you get your Skinny card back, but instead of your own inchie cards, it has the cards of other participants!

Skinny-kortissani on taustalla tekemäni Gelli-printti, johon lisäsin sabluunalla maalia ja roiskeita. Inchie-korttien taustalla on kollaasipaperia, gessoa, maaleja ja roiskeita. Siinä on siis useampi kerros kaikkea kivaa. Leikkasin lehdestä pienet mieshahmot ja urbaanista sanakirjasta tekstit. 

My Skinny card has a Gelli print I made in the background, to which I added paint and splashes. The inchie cards have collage paper in the first layer, then gesso, paints and splashes. It has multiple layers of everything nice. I cut out small male figures from a magazine and texts from the urban dictionary. The Finnish texts say the following: "eos" -> abbr. I cannot say, "elvis" -> selfish-type person, "esiteini" -> preteen, "emt" -> abbr. I don't know, "evvk" -> abbr. I could not care less and "eksä" -> ex.

OKTK DT #72: Skinny upotetulla inchie-kortilla / Skinny with an embedded inchie card

Maaliskuussa OKTK-korttihaasteessa tehdään Skinny-kortti, johon on upotettu Inchie-kortti. Tämän inchie-kortin voi vaihtaa toiseen ja luoda uusi idea tai todellisuus. Maisema, hahmo tai joku yksityiskohta voi muuttua. Mitä vaan keksitkään! Omassa kortissani inchie-kortti vaihtaa puhujaa. Tällöin kortissa oleva pariskunta ikään kuin keskustelee keskenään. Puhekuplat on leikattu sarjakuvasta.

In March in the OKTK card challenge we are making a Skinny card with an inchie card embedded in it. This inchie card can be exchanged for another and in that way create a new idea or reality. The landscape, character or some detail may change. Whatever you come up with! In my own card, the inchie card changes the speaker. So in this case, the couple on the card seem to have a conversation with each other. The speech bubbles are cut from the cartoon.

Reikä on noin inchie-kortin kokoinen ja sen taustalla on paperipala. Sen ja kortin taustapaperin olen tehnyt Gelli-levyllä.

The hole is about the size of an inchie card and has piece of paper in the back. This paper and the background paper of the card I made with my Gelli plate.

OKTK DT #66: Syyskuu / September

                            

Syyskuussa uudessa OKTK-haasteessa tehtiin kaksi Skinny-korttia. Toisessa oli hahmo, jolla oli eläimen pää ja ihmisen vartalo ja toisessa päinvastoin. Olen tehnyt eläinpäisiä hahmoja jo useita, mutta ihmisen pää eläimen vartalolla tuotti enemmän ongelmia kuin odotin. En ole kerännyt niin paljon "sopivia" ihmispäitä, koska käytän enemmän eläimiä. Tulipahan haastettua itseään! :)

In September in the OKTK challenge we made two Skinny cards. In the first one we made a figure with an animal head and a human body and in the second one the other way around. The second one was more difficult for me, because I'm used to use animal heads a lot more than humans. But it was good to challenge myself here! :)

OKTK #61: Huhtikuu / April

Huhtikuussa OKTK-haasteessa kysyttiin, oletko koskaan tehnyt korttia, "jossa on lunnaskirje-teksti? Lunnaskirjeissähän on jokainen kirjain on erikseen, joko kirjasta tai lehdestä leikattu tai muu valmis kirjain ettei käsialaa voi tunnistaa.

Vaikka ensin tietysti tulee mieleen salapoliisitarina tai mysteeri, niin tehtävänannon voi käsittää ihan haluamallaan tavalla.

Tämä vaihto koostuu kahdesta yhteenkuuluvasta kortista, jotka vaihdetaan saman henkilön kanssa. Kortti, jossa on lunnaskirje-tekstiä on kooltaan SKINNY.

Sen lisäksi tehdään ATC jossa tapahtuu jotain joka jotenkin liittyy tekstiin."

In the April challenge for OKTK we made our own versions of ransom letters (not necessarily crime and mystery themed), where the letter was a Skinny-sized card and the ATC-sized card was related to this. This swap was done with a set of two cards. 

My Skinny card says "I know what you did yesterday" and the man on my ATC card answers "It was just in a whim." :)

OKTK DT #58: Tammikuu / January

Hienoja uutisia! Olen nyt mukana myös OKTK (Oletko koskaan tehnyt korttia...?) design-tiimissä! Jee!! Tässä haasteblogissa tehdään pääasiassa ATC-kortteja mixed media -tekniikalla ja niitä vaihdetaan haasteen päätteeksi kaikkien osallistujien kesken. 

Good news! I'm part of a new design team! I joined OKTK (abbreviation for "Have you ever made a card...?"). Awesome, yay!! In this challenge blog we make mainly ATC with mixed media techniques and in the end we swap cards with all participants. 

Ensimmäinen DT-työni ilmestyy nyt tammikuussa, kun tehtävänä oli... 

Oletko koskaan tehnyt korttia, jossa on ympyröitä tai neliöitä (ja yhteen niistä tulee jotain leimattua). Joko taustan tai ympyröiden pitää olla akryyliväreillä käsitelty. SKINNY

My first DT work for this challenge is in January, where the challenge was

Have you ever made a card that has circles or squares (and one of them has something stamped on it). Either the background or the circles need be to painted with acrylic paint. SKINNY
