Ensimmäinen hölskykorttini / My first shaker card

Näin tämän paperin Mollie Makes -käsityölehdessä ja ajattelin ystävääni, joka rakastaa karkkia, pinkkiä ja glitteriä. Päätin sitten tehdä hänelle kortin ja toivottaa hänelle makeaa päivää. :)

I saw this paper in the Mollie Makes magazine and I thought of my friend who loves candy, pink and glitter. So I decided to make her a card and wish a sweet day. :)

Tämä oli ensimmäinen kokeiluni hölskykortista. Laitoin erlenmeyer-pulloon liikaa karkkia ja siksi ne eivät hölskyneet ihan niin paljon kuin toivoin. Mutta hölskyivät kuitenkin! :)

This was my first shaker card. I put too much candy in the erlenmeyer flask, so it didn't shake as much as I hoped. But shaked nonetheless! :)

Sisältä kortti näytti tältä. Hölskykammion toteutin paksulla kaksipuoleisella teipillä.

From the inside the card looked like this. The shaker chamber I made with thick double sided tape.

Muita yksityiskohtia olivat tekstin lisäksi glitterliima ja extrakuvat.

Other details in addition to the text were glitter glue and extra pictures.

Ystävänpäiväkortti sydännuolilla / Valentine's day card with love arrows

Tein poikaystävälle erityisen ystävänpäiväkortin, jossa oli kirjekuori sydännuolilla. Sain idean, kun näin "deittinuolet" Mollie makes -käsityölehdessä (taitavat olla samat kuin nämä). Alun perin näihinkin nuoliin oli tarkoitus tulla vastaavanlaiset roikkuvat lappuset, mutta ne olisivat menneet pienessä kirjekuoressa vain sekaisin, joten jätin ne loppujen lopuksi pois.

I made a special Valentine's day card for my boyfriend. I got the idea for the arrows from the "date arrows" I saw in the Mollie makes magazine (I think they are the same as these). Originally I was thinking of putting some hanging text signs to the arrows as well, but the strings would just have gotten tangled inside the small envelope.

Sydännuolet on tehty hammastikuista, joihin on liimattu sopivan kokoiset sydämet ja hapsut (teipin avustuksella). Hapsuja on vanhennettu Distress Inkillä (brushed cordoroy -väri), jota on muuallakin kortissa.

The love arrows are made out of tooth picks. I cut proper sized hearts and fringes for the arrow and glued them on (with a little help of tape). The fringes were touched with a bit of Distress Ink (brushed cordoroy) like some other parts of the card as well.

Tältä kortti näyttää ilman nuolia. Toki kirjekuoreeseen olisi voinut laittaa kivan viestinkin (hmm, idea ensi vuodeksi?!).

This is how the card looks like without the arrows. The envelope could also have had a nice message in it (hmm, idea for next year?!).

En voinut julkistaa tätä korttia viime viikolla, koska muuten yllätys olisi voinut mennä pilalle. Ja hyvänä yllätyksenä kortti pysyikin! :)

I couldn't publish this card last week, because it was supposed to be a surprise. And a great surprise it was! :)
