Elokuussa ArtGrupa ATC blogin art journal -haasteessa piti hyödyntää lehdistä leikattua materiaalia. Lehdistä ja vanhoista kirjoista saa mainiota materiaalia! Nyt leikkasin muotikuvan ja lisäsin siihen kirjasta leikatun linnun pään. Puhuvat linnut ovat niin hauskoja! :)

In the August art journal challenge of the ArtGrupa blog we were challenged to use something from an old magazine. Material from old magazines and books is the best! Now I cut out a fashion model and added a bird head from an old book. I love my talking birds! :)

ArtGrupa ATC DT August

Elokuussa oli taas minun vuoroni esitellä ATC-korttien aihe ArtGrupa-blogissa ja aiheena on metsä. Mitä sinulle tulee mieleen, kun ajattelet metsää? Metsän puut, marjat ja sienet? Metsän monet eläimet? Entä mitä metsä tarkoittaa sinulle? Rauhallista paikkaa, jonne voi mennä rentoutumaan? Tai ehkä pidät vaeltamisesta tai muista urheilulajeista, joita voi metsässä harrastaa. Ehkä metsän äänet inspiroivat sinua tässä kuussa. Metsä voi olla monta asiaa. Mitä se on sinulle?

In August our theme in the ArtGrupa ATC challenge is forest. What do you think of when you think of the forest? The trees, berries and mushrooms? The many animals in the forest? What does the forest mean to you? A calm space, where you can relax? Maybe you enjoy hiking or other sports done in the forest? Maybe the forest sounds inspire you this month. The forest can be so many things. What is it for you?

In my cards a bunny is wondering who's footprint is left on the ground in the forest. (It's a bear's foot print.)

Mixed media door sign

Tein lisää ”hyödyllistä” mixed mediaa. Nyt tein oveen ei mainoksia -kyltin. Ilmoitus ovessa voi samalla olla kaunis koriste. :)

I made another “useful” mixed media piece. This time I made a no advertisement sign for the door. If you have this information on the door, it can also be a beautiful decoration at the same time. :)

Tarkkaavaisimmat huomaavat, että hänellä on sukat jalssa. :D

If you pay close attention, you can see that he has socks on. :D

Jehkotar Craft Challenge DT #58

Elokuun JCC-haasteessa bongasin bingorivin jotain leimattua - käsin leikattua - akryylimaali. Teen paljon kortteja tällä triolla. :) Nyt tein kaksi kala-aiheista Skinny-korttia.

text The August JCC challenge had the best bingo row: something stamped - cut by hand - acrylic paint. This is the trio I use a lot with my cards. :) Now I made a pair of fish Skinny cards.

ArtGrupa Art Journal July

Heinäkuussa ArtGrupa ATC -blogin art journal haasteessa oli aiheena "pieni ja iso". Löysin sattumoisin samasta lehdestä kaksi erikokoista kuvaa. Käytin niitä tässä, koska ne sopivat aiheeseen mainiosti.

In July in the art journal challenge of the ArtGrupa ATC blog the theme was "big and small". In a magazine I happened to find two pictures, which are the same, but different size. They worked well with this theme.

Mixed media phone cover

Ostan puhelimeeni aina läpinäkyvän silikonikuoren, koska se on käytännöllinen (ei heiluvia läppiä tai liukkaita pintoja). Mutta myös sen takia, että siitä voi helposti tuunata omanlaisen laittamalla alle kauniin paperin. Monesti olen laittanut alle kauniin japanilaisen origamipaperin. Nyt päätin tehdä taustan art jounal -sivun tyyliin. 

I often buy a transparent silicone phone cover, because it's practical (no moving flaps or slippery surfaces). But also because it's then easy to make the phone cover more unique by putting a nice paper underneath the cover. Many times I've put a beautiful Japanese origami paper underneath. This time I decided to make an art journal style background.

Tein tämän puhelinkuoren aiemmin tekemäni art journal -sivun mukaan, koska pidin sen värikombinaatiosta, joka syntyi vahingossa. 

I made this phone cover based on a previous art journal page I made, because I enjoyed the colour combination on the page that came by accident.

Maalasin taustalle akryylimaaleilla ja liimasin vanhasta eläintietokirjasta leikatun linnun. Löysin juuri täydellisen tekstinkin tähän, koska tämä puhelinhan puhuu, jos sille haluaa puhua. :D

I painted the background and glued a picture of a bird that I had cut our of an old animal encyclopedia. I even found the perfect text! It says "If only things could talk". Because this phone does talk, if I would like to talk to it. :D

Leikkasin sopivan kokoisen palan ja laitoin sen joustavan silikonikuoren alle. Nyt ei vaan saa tiputtaa puhelinta veteen, koska silloin taustapaperi kastuu. :)

I cut the correct size and put it under the flexible silicone cover. Now I shouldn't drop the phone into water, because then the paper will get wet. :)

ArtGrupa ATC July 2020

Heinäkuussa ArtGrupa ATC-kortit tehtiin aiheella kissat. Tein sarjan "Cats in Wonderland", jossa kissahahmoilla on lauseita leikattu Liisa Ihmemaassa -kirjasta.

In July in the ArtGrupa ATC challenge was with the theme "Cats". I made the series "Cats in Wonderland" with cat figures and quotes cut out of the book "Alice in Wonderland".
