ArtGrupa ATC October

 

Lokakuussa ArtGrupa ATC -haasteessa oli aiheena salama / ukonilma. Tein taustaan paljon tekstuuria myrskyä varten ja laitoin päälle salaman. 

In October the theme in the ArtGrupa ATC challenge was lightning storm. I made a very textured background for this to show the stormy weather and then put a lightning on top.

Askarteluvuoren ATC vaihto: Sienet / Mushroom ATC

Olen muutaman kerran osallistunut Askarteluvuoren ATC-vaihtoon, jossa on joka kuukausi uusi aihe. Syyskuussa aiheena oli sienet ja siihen oli tottakai osallistuttava, koska sienet ovat parhaita! Haasteessa tehtiin yksi Skinny-kortti ja yksi ATC.

A few times I participated in the Finnish Askarteluvuori ATC challenge, where there's a theme every month. In September the theme was mushrooms and of course I had to participate, because mushrooms are the best! The challenge included one Skinny card and one ATC.

The text says in Finnish "When, then, does the child's upbringing end?" and "Let’s play an imagination game.".

Tein samalla inspiraation hetkellä myös kaksi muuta ATC-korttia sieniaiheella. 

In the same inspirational flow I made two more mushroom ATC.

This one says "The atmosphere was wrong in every way."

Käytin taustassa vanhan kirjan sivuja. Yhdessä taustassa käytin gessoa ennen maalikerrosta ja toisessa en. Tuloksena on kaksi hieman erilaista taustaa, mutta pidän molemmista.

I used old book pages in the background. In one background I used a layer of gesso before painting over the text. I ended up with two slightly different backgrounds, but I like them both.

Jehkotar Craft Challenge DT #60: Lokakuu / October

 

Lokakuun JCC-haasteesta otin taas bingorivin: kierrätettyä (koska se on ihan parasta) - jotain keittiöstä (koska sieltä löytyy vaikka mitä) - kakkupaperi.

In the October JCC challenge I picked the bingo again: recycled (because it's the best) - something from the kitchen (because there's all kinds of nice stuff) - cake doily.

Löysin keittiöstä hampurilaissämpyläpussin etiketin ja kierrätin vanhan kirjan sivuja. Sivut ovat taustassa, josta ne eivät loppujen lopuksi kovin paljon näy läpi. Mutta ne tuovat vähän tekstuuria art journal -sivuun.

From the kitchen I found the label from the burger bun bag and I recycled old book pages. The pages are in the background and cannot be seen that well in the end. But they bring a bit of texture to my art journal page.

ArtGrupa ATC September

 

Syyskyyn aihe ArtGrupa ATC -haasteessa oli "tarot". Tämä oli itselleni hieman vaikea, mutta se onkin hyvä haastaa itseään välillä ja lopputuloksena tulikin hieno kuusarja.

In September the theme in the ArtGrupa ATC challenge was tarot. This was a difficult theme for me, but it's good to challenge yourself every once in a while and I ended up with this lovely moon series.

Tein kaikki taustat samalla kertaa maalaamalla isomman palan. Isommassa palassa tähdet näkyvät vähän paremmin. 

I made all backgrounds at the same time by painting a bigger cardboard piece. In he bigger piece you can see the stars better.

OKTK DT #66: Syyskuu / September

                            

Syyskuussa uudessa OKTK-haasteessa tehtiin kaksi Skinny-korttia. Toisessa oli hahmo, jolla oli eläimen pää ja ihmisen vartalo ja toisessa päinvastoin. Olen tehnyt eläinpäisiä hahmoja jo useita, mutta ihmisen pää eläimen vartalolla tuotti enemmän ongelmia kuin odotin. En ole kerännyt niin paljon "sopivia" ihmispäitä, koska käytän enemmän eläimiä. Tulipahan haastettua itseään! :)

In September in the OKTK challenge we made two Skinny cards. In the first one we made a figure with an animal head and a human body and in the second one the other way around. The second one was more difficult for me, because I'm used to use animal heads a lot more than humans. But it was good to challenge myself here! :)

Paper doll / Paperinukke

 

Koronakeväänä tapasin hyvin vähän ihmisiä ja se harmitti etenkin pienten kohdalla. Siksi tein kahdelle tärkeälle pienokaiselle Siiri-paperinuken. Tällöin olen mukana leikkimässä ja syömässä. :)

During the corona spring I didn't see that many people and it was sad especially with the smaller ones. Therefore I made two Siiri paper dolls for two important babies/toddlers. This way I could join the playing and eating. :)

Leikkasin lehdistä eri kehon osia ja liimasin ne valkoiselle kopiopaperille. Sitten leikkasin koko hahmon ja päällystin päältä ja alta kontaktimuovilla (samaa jolla päällystetään koulukirjat), jotta se kestäisi paremmin kovaa menoa. Tällöin siinä ei myöskään ole liian teräviä reunoja. Pää on omasta valokuvastani. Valitisin siihen hauska selfie-kuvan.

I cut different body parts from magazines and glued them on white copy paper. Then I cut the whole figure out and covered the front and back with flexible plastic (the same as used for covering school books) to make it more resistant to the games. In this case, it also doesn't have sharp edges. The head is cut from a photo of me. I chose a funny selfie for this. 

Nämä kaikki nuket ovat siis tehty neljästä eri osasta: pää, keskivartalo ja kädet, hame ja jalat ovat eri hahmoista. 

All paper dolls are made of four different body parts: the head, the torso and arms, skirt and legs are all from different figures. 

Tein myös lentävän sammakon. Puolitoistavuotias nimesi tämän "oudoksi". :)

I also made a flying frog. The 1,5-year old named this one "the strange one". :)

Jehkotar Craft Challenge DT #59: Syyskuu / September

 

Syyskuun JCC-haasteessa käytin hyväkseni inspiraatiokuvaa ja erityisesti sormea heiluttavaa miestä. Tästä syntyi art journal -sivu sormea heristelevästä miehestä, joka sanoo englanniksi "Paska on paksumpaa kuin veri. Tee niistä paskaa." :D

In the September JCC challenge I used the inspirational picture and especially the man pointing with his finger. This small art journal page was formed with a man wiggling his finger and giving instructions. :D
