ATC joulukalenteri / ATC advent calendar

Osallistuin tänäkin vuonna ATC-joulukalenteriin. 24 osallistujaa teki 24 jouluista tai talvista ATC-korttia, jotka jaettiin kaikille ahkeran emännän avulla. Tein useamman pienemmän sarjan, koska ideoita oli useampia. :)

I participated again this year to the ATC advent calendar. 24 participants created 24 ATC with the theme Christmas/winter and these were then distributed to everyone with the help of a hard-working host. I made several different ATC series, because I had more than one idea. :)

Tällä tavalla sain ihan parhaimman joulukalenterin! Olihan minulla myös perinteinen partiolaisten joulukalenteri ja parikin teejoulukalenteria. Joulukalentereita ei voi olla liikaa, eikö niin? :)

This is the best advent calendar! I also have a traditional picture advent calendar and two tea calendars. But there's no such thing as too many advent calendars, right? :)

Mixed media advent calendar

Tein miehelleni joulukalenterin mixed media -tyyliin. Luukuista kurkkaan minä erilaisilla hauskoilla ilmeillä. :)

I made an advent calendar for my husband in mixed media style. Behind every window is a picture of me with different funny face expressions. :)

Lopuksi teippasin kaikki luukut kiinni pienellä punaisella washi-teipin palasella, jotta ei voisi vahingossa kurkata etukäteen luukun taakse. :)

In the end I put a small piece of red washi tape to close all the windows. No peeking allowed. :)

Tämä on ainakin uniikki joulukalenteri! :)

This is definitely a unique advent calendar! :)

ArtGrupa ATC December 2019

Joulukuussa ArtGrupa ATC-ryhmässä tehdään ATC-kortteja aiheella "valkoinen joulu". Mikä olisikaan parempi aihe tähän vuodenaikaan? 

On December the ArtGrupa ATC group is making ATC with the theme "White Christmas". What would be a better theme for this season?

Käytin vanhan kirjan talvikuvia, jotka hiekkapaperilla saivat lisää tekstuuria. Tekstit ovat Eino Leinon runosta, josta sain lisäinspiraatiota tähän sarjaan. Nämä pienet eläimet odottavat valkoista joulua.

I used winter pictures from an old book and I gave them a bit more texture with sandpaper. I got additional inspiration from a poem by Eino Leino. The text on the cards says "snow is singing". These little animals are waiting for white Christmas.

Jehkotar CraftChallenge DT #50: Joulukuu / December

Joulukuun JCC-haasteesta valitsin bingorivin kolme samaa - harmaa - teksti. Tein joulukortin, jossa sataa harmaata lunta, kun lapset leikkivät ulkona. Etelä-Suomessa talvet ovat nykyään niin harmaita, ettei valkoista joulua enää niin usein tule. Enemmän se on harmaata. Mutta onneksi silloinkin voi leikkiä ulkona. :)

From the JCC December challenge I picked the bingo row 3 of the same - grey - text. I made a Christmas card, where it's snowing grey snow, when the kids are playing outside. In the south of Finland white Christmas is not as common anymore. It's more grey than white. But luckily you can still play outside. :)

ArtGrupa ATC DT: November 2019

Marraskuussa oli mun vuoro ArtGrupa ATC-ryhmässä keksiä aihe ja tehdä siihen sopivat ATC-kortit. Yksi lempiaiheistani on tiede. Vanhoissa tiedekirjoissa on hienoja elementtejä, joita voi hyödyntää mainiosti mixed mediassa ja niiden avulla voi kertoa myös uusia tarinoita. Tämän ATC-sarjan  naiset ovat kemian tutkijoita ja joskus labrakokeissa syntyy pientä savua. :)

In November it was turn to decide the theme for ArtGrupa ATC and make the cards with that theme. One of my favorite themes is science. Old science books have wonderful elements that fit perfectly in mixed media and with them you can tell new stories. The women in my ATC series are researchers in chemistry and sometimes when doing a lab experiment, there's a bit of smoke. :)

Jehkotar CraftChallenge DT #49: Marraskuu / November

Marraskuun JCC-haasteesta bongasin taas bingorivin: valkoinen - omatekoinen koriste - lila. Tein ensimmäistä kertaa ATC-kortteja käyttämällä pelikortteja pohjana.

From the November challenge in JCC is chose the bingo again: white - self-made decoration - purple. I used playing cards as a basis for the ATC for the first time.

ArtGrupa ATC October 2019

Lokakuussa ArtGrupa ATC -ryhmän aiheena oli korppi. Koska on myös Halloweenin aika, yhdistin nämä ATC-sarjaksi, jossa korppi on juhlissa. :)

The theme for the ArtGrupa ATC group in October was Raven. Because it's also Halloween time, I combined these two. In my series the raven is at a party. :)
