Vauvakutsukortti / Baby shower card

Järjestimme ystävällemme vauvakutsut. Juhlat kaipaavat aina korttia! :) Pistin sormet taas maaliin ja testasin uutta, niinkuin lupasin tänä vuonna tehdä.

We organized a baby shower for our friend and parties always require a card, right? :) I put my fingers into the paint again and tried something new like I said I would.

Uudet jutut / New things:

* Iso kukkakuva / Big flower picture

* Pääosassa kuva, jonka ympärillä kehys / Main focus on the picture surrounded by a frame

Leikkasin joskus kauan sitten jostain kalenterista kuvat talteen ja löysin ne alkuvuoden siivouksessa ja päätin laittaa sellaisen nyt korttiin. Tämä oli ensimmäinen kerta, kun kortin keskiössä on joku kuva. Kehystin sitä maalilla, ohuella kankaalla, langalla, kiehkuroilla ja kukkasilla. Kukkien lehdet leimasin ja leikkasin itse (kuten aiemmin täällä).

I cut pictures out of a calendar some years ago and I found them again in the beginning of the year and I decided to use one of them now. This was the first time for me when I used a picture as the main focus on the card. I framed the picture with paint, a thin fabric, yarn, swirls and flowers. The leaves for the flowers I stamped and cut myself (like previously here).

Tekstin leimasin viireihin, joita reunusti Distress Ink -muste. Mustetta oli myös kiehkuroissa. Loppusilaus tuli helmitarroista ja glitteristä.

The text I stamped on banderols that got a touch of Distress Ink. The swirls also got inked. The finishing touch was given with pearl stickers and glitter.

Kortista tuli vähän isompi kuin normaalisti, koska kuva oli niin iso. Mutta se on kivaa vaihtelua tehdä isompia kortteja, mikä on enemmän mahdollista, kun korttia ei tarvitse lähettää.

The card is a bigger than normally, because the picture was quite big. But it's nice to craft a bigger card every once in a while, which is more possible when the card is not send.
