ArtGrupa ATC March

 

Maaliskuun ArtGrupa ATC-haasteessa oli aiheena ullakko ("attic"). Oma ajatus meni enemmän ullakon pimeyteen, pölyyn, mahdollisiin kummituksiin ja hämähäkin verkkoihin. Siitä syntyi tämä hieman karmiva korttisarja. 

The theme of the March ArtGrupa ATC challenge was "attic". My own thoughts went more into the darkness of the attic, the dust, possible ghosts, and the spiderwebs. With this in mind I made a slightly spooky ATC series.

Kuvasta on vaikea hahmottaa taustan tekstuuria ja siksi onkin aina niin kiva vastaanottaa ATC-kortteja ja hiplata ja ihailla livenä kaikkea kortista löytyvää herkullista tekstuuria. 

It is difficult to see the texture of the background from the pictures. That is why it's always so nice to receive ATC cards and touch and admire live all the delicious texture found on the card.

Taustassa on myös harmaita maalikynäroiskeita (-> pölyä!) ja hämähäkinseitti on leikattu appelsiinipussista. (Kai tiesit, että mixed mediassa kaikkea voi käyttää!?)

There are also grey paint marker splashes (nowadays, one of my favourite ways to add some extra colour on my artwork!) in the background (-> dust!). The spiderweb is cut from a grocery bag for oranges. (You knew that in mixed media, everything can be used, right?!)

ArtGrupa PCJ February

 

Helmikuun ArtGrupa-blogin postikorttikirjan haasteessa tehdään kortti, jossa on karnevaalinaamio. Minulla oli oman kortin ideana, kun rajoitettu korona-aika vihdoinkin loppuu, päästään taas juhlimaan (omalla kohdalla se tarkoittaa museo- ja teatterikäyntejä ja grillijuhlia). Vaihdetaan maski toisenlaiseen! 

In the February ArtGrupa blog postcard journal challenge we make a card with a carnival mask. The idea in my own card was, when the restricted Corona time finally ends, we get to celebrate again (for my part, it means museum and theater visits and barbecue parties). Then we will change the mask into a different one!

Kortissani on taustassa tekemäni gelliprintti. Naamiossa on paljetteja ja pieniä höyheniä.

I've used my gelli printed paper as a background. On the mask I have sequins and small feathers. 

Kortin toiselle puolelle kirjoitin sen päivän fiiliksiä vähän päiväkirjamäiseen tyyliin. Tämä postikorttikirja on minulle vuoden pituinen päiväkirja, jossa kerran kuussa tulee kirjoitus. 

On the other side of the card, I wrote that day’s feelings like I would in a diary or letter. This postcard journal is a year-long diary for me, with a written post once a month.

OKTK DT #72: Skinny upotetulla inchie-kortilla / Skinny with an embedded inchie card

Maaliskuussa OKTK-korttihaasteessa tehdään Skinny-kortti, johon on upotettu Inchie-kortti. Tämän inchie-kortin voi vaihtaa toiseen ja luoda uusi idea tai todellisuus. Maisema, hahmo tai joku yksityiskohta voi muuttua. Mitä vaan keksitkään! Omassa kortissani inchie-kortti vaihtaa puhujaa. Tällöin kortissa oleva pariskunta ikään kuin keskustelee keskenään. Puhekuplat on leikattu sarjakuvasta.

In March in the OKTK card challenge we are making a Skinny card with an inchie card embedded in it. This inchie card can be exchanged for another and in that way create a new idea or reality. The landscape, character or some detail may change. Whatever you come up with! In my own card, the inchie card changes the speaker. So in this case, the couple on the card seem to have a conversation with each other. The speech bubbles are cut from the cartoon.

Reikä on noin inchie-kortin kokoinen ja sen taustalla on paperipala. Sen ja kortin taustapaperin olen tehnyt Gelli-levyllä.

The hole is about the size of an inchie card and has piece of paper in the back. This paper and the background paper of the card I made with my Gelli plate.
